The Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics (MMP) is a two-year advanced training program offered in collaboration with ICTP and the University of Trieste. The program is meant to provide postgraduate theoretical and clinical training to young, promising graduates of physics or related subjects (mainly from developing nations) to be recognized as clinical medical physicists in their native countries.
The curriculum consists of a year of basic and advanced courses (delivered in English) developed with the help of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency, ICTP’s UN partner (IAEA). A year of professional clinical training at a medical physics department of a hospital in the program’s training network follows this.
