Brief Description

Swansea University and the Welsh Government have teamed together to provide fully financed math Ph.D. scholarships to international and local candidates. The primary goal of this study is to concentrate on Mathematical and Epidemiological Modeling.

These scholarships will only be given to those who are academically qualified.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Fully Funded Mathematics Scholarship at Swansea University, UK 2022:

  • Normally, candidates must have a 2.1 undergraduate degree or a master’s degree with a minimum overall grade of ‘Merit’ (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University).   • Certificates of completion and transcripts (if you are currently studying for a degree, screenshots of your grades to date are sufficient)
  • A cover letter outlining the candidate’s motives for applying for this project as well as his or her experience in mathematical modeling and/or computational mathematics.
  • Two letters of recommendation (academic or prior job) on letterhead or on the Swansea University reference form. Please note that referrals mentioning private email addresses, such as Hotmail, will not be accepted.
  • Referees should include their employer’s email address for reference verification.
  • Proof that you’ve met the English Language requirement (if applicable).
