The Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue at Emory University, named in honor of distinguished alumnus and former Vice President Alben W. Barkley, proudly houses the nationally acclaimed intercollegiate policy debate team. In collaboration with the Emory Scholars Program, select students are chosen annually for their exceptional potential in embodying the Scholars Qualities while displaying exceptional prowess in policy debate. Through the Woodruff Debate Scholarship, recipients receive comprehensive coverage, including full tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meals. These distinguished Woodruff Debate Scholars become integral members of the Emory College Scholars Program, participating in a diverse range of annual activities specifically designed to foster the development of the Scholars Qualities.
