Brief Description

The School of Engineering at the University of Manchester is pleased to offer Engineering Future Scholarships to academically outstanding overseas candidates beginning postgraduate studies in September 2022.

This fellowship is open to students from South Asia, South East Asia, or Africa who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree program at the School of Engineering.

Scholarship Award Benefit

All of the following will be provided by the university:

  • One complete tuition fee remission of up to £28,000 is available. This award is for the MSc Management of Projects program package.
  • Four partial tuition fee exemptions of £10,000 are available.
  • Ten £6,000 partial tuition fee exemptions are available.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Engineering Future Scholarships for International Students at the University of Manchester, UK 2022-23:

  • Be a citizen of a South Asian, South East Asian, or African country.
  • Hold an offer for a master’s level full-time programme at The Faculty of Science and Engineering in September 2022.
  • Register for your selected course in full before the registration deadline.
  • You must self-fund (not be sponsored) your course and be classed as an overseas applicant for tuition price reasons.

Application Procedure

  • Students must submit their applications using the application site. This grant will be considered for all qualifying students.
  • Students must submit high school transcripts as well as additional course-specific criteria.
  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum classification of a good Upper Second class (2:1) (or worldwide equivalent) or be on track to attain this.
  • All overseas candidates must demonstrate proof of English language proficiency:
    • Overall IELTS score of 7.5+
    • TOEFL iBT score range: 109–120
    • SELT (B2 Test) Language Certificate- 100–128
    • SELT (C1 Test)- 132 CAE or CPE- 191–230 ISE II (acceptable only for foundation courses) – Pass in each part
