Brief Description

The Out-Of-State Tuition Waiver Program was created by the University of Florida and the Florida-Brazil Linkage Institute (FBLI) for Brazilian students who wish to complete their higher education in the academic year 2022-2023.

This remission of the tuition cost will be given to five international students, mainly Brazilians. Brazilian students pursuing degrees who have an F-1 or J-1 visa and a minimum 3.0 GPA are required to apply. There are no financial components to the scholarship award. Instead, it will give the chosen individuals a letter of waiver that would assist them in covering their tuition price costs.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the FBLI Out-Of-State Tuition Waiver for Brazilians at University of Florida, USA 2022-23:

    • Your most recent official academic transcript, one copy
    • a review copy of an unauthorized transcript
    • two recommendation letters
  • Entrance Prerequisites: The candidates’ GPAs must be at least 3.0.
  • Students must submit their results from the following English language proficiency exams:
    • TOEFL (iBT & Home Edition): 80
    • TOEFL (PBT): 550
    • IELTS Academic: 6.0
    • Verbal GRE: 140
