Scholarship Award Benefit

The university will provide all of the following:

  • four-year scholarship to cover the partial cost of their university tuition.
  • All amounts are in Canadian dollars. These scholarships may be renewed for up to 12 terms.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the University Of Ottawa African Students Scholarships, Canada 2024-25:

  1. International Student Status:
    • Must be an international student possessing a valid study permit.
  2. African Citizenship:
    • Citizenship from one of the African countries is a prerequisite for eligibility.
  3. Full-Time Enrollment:
    • Enroll as a full-time student to qualify for the scholarship.
  4. Entrance Scholarship Criteria:
    • For the Entrance scholarship, maintain an admission average of 89.99% or lower, once converted to the university’s grading scale.
  5. Excellence Scholarship Criteria:
    • To be eligible for the Excellence scholarship, secure an admission average of a minimum of 90%, once converted to the university’s grading scale.
  6. Program Eligibility:
    • Newly admitted students must be enrolled in one of the designated undergraduate programs offered in English or with the French Immersion option.

The following procedure remains the only viable route to apply rightfully:

  1. Initiate Application:
    • Start the application process by applying here.
  2. Receive Student Number:
    • Once the application is received, the University will generate a unique Student Number. Use this number to log in to the school’s portal, UOZone.
  3. Document Submission:
    • Submit academic results and necessary documents through UOZone for review.
  4. Conditional Admission Offer:
    • Upon successful review, receive a conditional admission offer, which may include the scholarship, contingent on your academic average.
  5. Nomination Deadline:
    • Ensure all 2022 nominations are submitted by 5:00 p.m., Central Time, on or before March 31, 2022.
