Brief Description

The Global Change Scholarships is a higher degree research program offered by the University of New South Wales. International students who wish to pursue an MPhil or PhD at the University are eligible for this award. There are several scholarships available, and the total prize is $38,854. Scholarship Award Benefit

All of the following will be provided by the university:

  • Stipend of $38,854 per year for a maximum of 3.5 years of the degree program. The following are the benefits of this scholarship:
  • A living allowance of $38,854 per year for 3.5 years for a Ph.D. and two years for an M.Phil., with yearly inflation adjustments, and an English language course through the UNSW Global University English Entry course (granted on a needs basis)
  • Allowances to help students with the extra expenses associated with an HDR degree, such as:
    • An authorized standard single Overseas Student Health Cover policy through the UNSW chosen supplier, which will cost the program around $2700.
    • $2000 relocation expenses for pursuing an HDR degree
    • Production of the HDR thesis cost $400.

  • Step 3: After submitting their Ph.D. admissions applications successfully, candidates should provide the following materials to scholarships@eng.unsw.edu.au.
  • a one-page personal essay outlining how your capacity to participate in higher degree research activities has been influenced by your status as a refugee or asylum seeker
  • UNSW can confirm that you possess one of the aforementioned visas by requesting a copy of your current passport or the travel documents you used to enter Australia. Therefore, a duplicate of one of the following records must be submitted.
  • The Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) service will be used to examine the documentation and visa status for Passport Immicard Titre de Voyage PLO56 (M56) Document For Travel To Australia (DFTTA) travelers.
