The World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship is designed to support promising young Australians in pursuing graduate studies at some of the finest universities globally, including institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Harvard, Princeton, Bologna, and more. This scholarship provides funding for one, two, and in certain cases, three years of graduate coursework and/or research. The level of support offered is highly competitive, aligning with prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, John Monash, Fulbright, and other significant awards.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, Australia 2024-25:

Prospective students must first secure a spot in a graduate program overseas before completing their scholarship application.
Applicants must hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
Acceptance into a postgraduate program at a top-tier international university is a prerequisite.

Exclusions:

Scholarships are not granted for undergraduate studies.
Medical research funding is limited to Masters or PhD programs.

Application Procedure

The following procedure remains the only viable route to apply rightfully:

Express your interest by emailing: postgrad@ramsaycentre.org.
From September 2023 to January 2024, complete your application for overseas study with your chosen institution. In your Ramsay application, you can list up to three institutions where you’ve been offered a place.
Between February 1 and March 28, 2024, open an account in the application portal and start your application. The deadline is 5pm (Sydney time) on March 28, 2024.

In your application, you’ll need to:

Provide evidence of Australian citizenship (or permanent residency).
Show acceptance into one or more of the graduate programs you applied for in 2024 (up to three options). For research programs, include your research proposal.
Present an academic summary (institutions attended and degrees obtained) with certified transcripts and awards.
Submit a 2-page CV detailing work experience, community service, leadership, and other non-academic activities.
Address the selection criteria and outline your future goals.
Provide contact information for three referees. They will only be contacted if you are shortlisted for an interview, and at least one should be able to speak about your academic abilities.
