To ensure that more students have access to higher education in the UK, the Association of Commonwealth Universities is now providing the Routledge/Round Table Commonwealth PhD Studentships for overseas students.

Even though they need not be residents of the UK, registered PhD students from UK universities are eligible for the first studentship program. The second is accessible to enrolled PhD candidates from ACU member institutions in Commonwealth nations except the UK as well as to former Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarship recipients who are now enrolled in PhD programs at any Commonwealth institution outside of the UK.

Explain in brief (100–400 words) how the prize will advance your study.
Two referees’ names are also required on the form, one of whom should be your current PhD or DPhil supervisor. You are accountable for requesting references from these referees.
