Brief Description
The Trust LLM Scholarships in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice or the LLM (General) track are available at the University of Birmingham. For the school year 2022-2023, the scholarship program is open.
The Kalisher Trust strives to promote and help bright students who may be unable to afford to attend the Criminal Bar. This scholarship will cover tuition fees as well as a substantial £6,000 donation towards living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for Kalisher Trust LLM Scholarships at University of Birmingham, UK 2022-23:
- You must be a UK resident with a UK/Ireland fee classification.
- You must show intellectual aptitude by academic accomplishment, work experience, or other experiences.
- You must show drive to achieve at the Criminal Bar, as well as the actions you took to develop the personal skills necessary of a Barrister and the determination to succeed.
- You must show that you have the ability to advocate, both orally and in writing.
- You must demonstrate financial necessity by describing how the scholarship will affect your plans to pursue an LLM or a career at the bar.
- You must be self-funded and not receiving any other financial assistance.
- The prize is only valid for one year and cannot be extended.
- Before applying for the scholarship, you must have applied for a spot on our LLM General track to complete the LLM General or the LLM Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.
