Brief Description

In 1995, the University of Bath conferred an honorary degree on Sir Jack Cater.

He served as the Independent Commission Against Corruption’s first chairman before rising to the positions of Chief Secretary, Acting Governor, and Commissioner in London for Hong Kong. This scholarship is given to students at certain Hong Kong institutions on behalf of his family and the Parthenon Trust.
