The University of British Columbia’s College of Applied Biologists is happy to announce the creation of the Linda Michaluk Scholarship (LMS) for the academic year 2023–2024.

This award honors Linda Michaluk’s significant contributions to the College of Applied Biologists and promotes the use of research to influence choices about Canada’s natural resources that are in the public’s best interests.

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Linda Michaluk Scholarship for International Students at the University of British Columbia, Canada 2023-24:

Completed graduate work in Canada while enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctor of Philosophy program at a Canadian university.

The College LMS Form, which can be accessed from the official website, must be filled up by interested applicants.
Supporting papers: The following supporting papers are required of applicants:
- Proof of Master’s or post-graduate (Doctor of Philosophy) program enrolment
- Finished LMS Form
- Three references from people who have knowledge of the applicant’s graduate work, including at least one letter of recommendation from the principal supervisor
Entry requirements: The following criteria must be met by applicants in order to be admitted to the Master’s or Doctor of Philosophy degree programs at their respective Canadian universities.
Working on a project that enhances scientifically informed judgments or decision-making with reference to natural resources for the benefit of the public.
