To be eligible for the Willoughby Losner Scholarships at the Royal Holloway University of London, the following criteria must be met:

  • You must have earned or be on track to earn a First Class Honours degree or its equivalent.
  • You must also have a conditional or unconditional offer from Royal Holloway to study MA Holocaust Studies.

The following items must be included in your application:

A scholarship statement of no more than 500 words per question covering the following topics (please note that statements that exceed the word count will be summarily rejected):

What academic achievements are you particularly proud of? Why did you choose the degree for which you applied? How will you use the MA in your future research and professional path, and how will the scholarship assist you in doing so?

The effectiveness and persuasion with which you react to the above will be used to evaluate your statement.

In addition, the following information must be provided:

One written academic reference is required (up to 200 words). These must come from professors who have previously assisted, taught, or collaborated with you. Please request that the academic provide their letter of recommendation (on official letterhead) to humanities-school@rhul.ac.uk.

You must also provide your most current grades transcript from your undergraduate degree, in addition to your statement. Applicants who do not upload a transcript will have their applications dismissed.
