The Elite award was created to give high-performing athletes who are undergraduate or graduate students the chance to receive support that will help them each realize their full potential.

We are seeking applications from student athletes who are currently enrolled in their respective sports’ National Governing Bodies/Federation pathway programs or who, within the previous 18 months, have competed internationally for their National Governing Bodies/Federations.

Application deadline is September 3, 2023. Please note that registration begins 5th of June, 2023.

- Complimentary Memberships in Team Leicester and the University of Leicester’s yearly sports facilities are both limited. Each awardee will get a bundle of assistance for their physical treatment (delivered at the Sports Medicine Clinic in Leicester).
- Program for individualized physical conditioning
- Life skills coaching for athletes
- Kit provision
- Within the context of Team Leicester, excellent coaching
- Contribution of money for agreed-upon things up to £2,000 (such as travel costs, equipment, specialized coaching, and dietary guidance)

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Elite Athlete Award at the University of Leicester, UK 2023-24:
- The sports scholarship panel makes individual case-by-case decisions on the Elite Athlete award. Priority will be given to people who show a desire to compete or participate fully in a Team Leicester sport that is part of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Programs.
- You must successfully get a seat on a programme at The University of Leicester for the 2023–24 academic year, or you must currently be enrolled there (all undergraduate and postgraduate programs are eligible).
- It is not a certainty that a candidate will be granted an award even if they fulfill both the eligibility (academic) and individual award performance level requirements. Please spend some time reading all of the released material carefully.

- On June 5th, 2023, the Elite Athlete award application procedure for the school year 2023–2024 will begin.
