57-year-old Hayes Dixon Emerges as the Dean of Medical College at Howard University, Breaks 145-year-old Record
At Howard University in the United States, Andrea Hayes Dixon, a 57-year-old woman, and surgeon shattered a record that had stood for 145 years.
The accomplished surgeon was chosen as the institution’s first-ever black woman dean and is scheduled to commence her formal duties on October 3rd, 2022.
