The young woman’s family is undoubtedly proud of her as they witness her being sworn into the Florida Bar in the United States.

“To say I’m grateful is an understatement!”

Judge Anthony Miller of the Second Judicial Circuit Court, who was a tremendous mentor to me during my third year of law school, had the honor of administering the oath of admission to the Florida Bar today. “Mitchell Canty was by my side as my family watched in real-time. What a privilege it is to be the first lawyer in my family and one of the nation’s 5% of Black lawyers.
