57-year-old Hayes Dixon Emerges as the Dean of Medical College at Howard University, Breaks 145-year-old Record

Hayes Dixon declared: “I am ecstatic to have the privilege of announcing that a Black woman will lead the Howard University College of Medicine for the first time in the college’s 154-year existence. There is still considerable work to be done when it comes to women in leadership positions in the medical field, according to the research.

Dr. Hayes Dixon’s appointment not only gives Howard University a fantastic leader, but it also advances both the university and the medical industry, according to Fredrick.
