Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the International election Scholarships at École Normale Supérieure, France 2023-24:

  • Candidates are not permitted to have previously applied to the international selection.
  • Neither the prior year nor the current academic year, which runs from September 1 to August 31, may have seen candidates spend more than 10 months in France.
  • Candidates must provide documentation supporting at least one year of undergraduate study completed outside of France during the calendar year prior to the application deadline.
  • Candidates must demonstrate that they will have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework at a non-French institution by September 1 of the year they are admitted.
  • The Director of ENS might make an exception and approve the application of a candidate whose academic background outside of France is unusual.
