Outstanding Female Nigerian International Football, Asisat Oshoala Celebrates 28th Birthday With Landmark Achievement

Asisat Oshoala, a Nigerian football player, commemorated her 28th birthday on October 9th, signifying a remarkable career since her 1994 birth.

After taking home the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) best women player of the year title for a record-setting fifth time, Asisat became the greatest female football player in African history. She passed Perpetua Nkwocha of Nigeria, who had previously won the honor four times.

Her exceptional performances for the Nigerian squad and in Barcelona earned her the distinction of becoming the first African woman to be considered for the World Women’s Ballon d’Or player of the year award.

After winning the Golden Shoe and Golden Ball in the U-20 Women’s World Cup, Asisat was presented with one of Nigeria’s highest honors in 2014: Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

Asisat tweeted a brief message with the message “Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah)” in honor of her 28th birthday. Numerous well-wishers, both Nigerians and her Barcelona relatives, congratulated her on her accomplishment at the age of 28.
